A narrative short film following the life of 22 year old business woman and filmmaking major Sylvia Burns. who has created a lucrative side hustle photographing deceased newborns in order to pay for college. The film will explore the unsettling and emotionally provocative act of creating a business out of the distress and loss of others, while also highlighting the comfort families may seek from having such photos taken. The film will center around Sylvia as she reconciles with the moral dilemma of seeking out clients and monetizing the grief of others while also considering the comfort and closure she often brings to her clients.
